Awareness-Purpose- Balance
I guide you to discover strength, stillness, and clarity through conscious movement, breathwork, and mindful living.
Let’s reconnect with the natural harmony within and around us.
About Me
I’ve always been drawn to movement—not just the kind that captivates on stage but the kind that roots you, awakens you, and brings you home to yourself.
I began dancing at the age of six, immersed in the rich folk traditions of Northeast India. Bihu was my starting point, and soon, I found myself exploring the rhythms and stories of Boro, Karbi, Mising, and Manipuri dance forms. Alongside these, I began my training in Sattriya, a classical dance form deeply rooted in the Vaishnav monasteries of Assam. Within months, I was performing on stage—and winning. By 14, I had earned my Visharad. That disciplined, devotional practice shaped my relationship with my body, breath, and consciousness. It became the foundation for everything I’ve done since.
My path then led me into professional acting—where presence and storytelling met in new ways. But something deeper called me inward. That call led me to yoga.
At The Yoga Institute, I completed 1100 hours of teacher training and was introduced to yoga not just as a physical discipline but as a profound way of living and seeing the world.
What truly transformed me was breath. We often forget it’s the only constant we carry with us—moment to moment. Learning to breathe consciously and with awareness changed the way I moved, taught, and lived. Breathwork is now at the heart of everything I do. It keeps me grounded, open, and in rhythm with life.
I teach through the lens of the bhavas outlined in yogic texts:
Gyaan (Wisdom)
Dharma (Right action)
Vairagya (Detachment)
Aishwarya (Mastery or divine power).
To me, it’s never just about a posture—it’s about the intention behind it, the clarity within it, and the energy it cultivates.
Alongside movement, I’ve always been a singer—performing folk songs rooted in my culture and learning from the classical tradition of Borgeet. Voice, both spoken and sung, has always been a way I connect, express, and heal.
I am a lifelong student. The Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, and the soulful Borgeet are texts I return to again and again. My philosophical grounding deepens through Samkhya, Stoicism, and the enduring wisdom of Socrates, Marcus Aurelius, and Alfred Adler.
And above all, I live with compassion. I care for animals, for our Earth, and for those without a voice. I live proudly plant-powered and advocate for conscious, ethical living. Because for me, to live mindfully is to live compassionately.
This journey—of dance, breath, philosophy, and plant-powered living—is ever-unfolding. I share it in the hope that it helps you pause, reflect, and maybe—breathe a little deeper.
